This April 29, 2008 photo of the construction of the new Kennedy Meadows Lodge (looking west)--housing the new restaurant and store-- is well under way. The former resort, several cottages and support buildings burned to the ground October 1, 2007. Final completion of the new lodge during July 2008 is projected.

THE NEW KENNEDY MEADOWS LODGE: The new Kennedy Meadows Lodge under construction is a combination of styles from the building burned last year and the lodge existing prior to 1941.  The restaurant will now be on the right side and the general store on the left. Drawing by Leslie Rolfe.
